Pont de Bionnassay is a narrow suspension footbridge spanning the torrent below the Bionnassay Glacier, in the alpine landscape above Saint-Gervais-les-Bains. It forms part of the local hiking network used by walkers on the Tour du Mont Blanc. The metal deck, taut cables and rushing grey glacial water create strong leading lines, while the steep, boulder-strewn channel emphasizes the bridge’s exposed scale. Surrounding forest and high mountain slopes frame the crossing, linking an engineered structure with the raw terrain shaped by ice and meltwater.
