Pont Alexandre III
📍 From Corner, France
Pont Alexandre III is a stunning example of French design and art that soars over the city of Paris. Completed in 1900 it marks the centenary of Alexander III's reign, standing proudly between the Champs-Élysées and the Invalides. With an array of intricate details from Gilded bronze lampposts, ornate cherubs, intricate urns, four sculptured Fames and over 96 tons of gold leaf, it is breath-taking. On the Grand Palais side of the bridge the gold commemorative coin of the 1867 Universal Exposition stands tall. From it you can see the Petit Palais and Eiffel Tower in the distance. A day wandering through the area allows you to experience the true grandeur of Paris and Pont Alexandre III.
