📍 Ukraine
Polonyna Rushchyna is an upland meadow in the Gorgany range of the Ukrainian Carpathians, on hiking routes from the Osmoloda area toward Mount Syvulya. *Polonyna* is the local word for a mountain pasture, reflecting the region’s tradition of summer grazing. At Rushchyna, open grassland interrupts the spruce-covered slopes, bringing the Gorgany’s rocky ridges and broad fields of broken stone into view.
