Point Betsie Lighthouse is a beautiful beacon located in Frankfort, Michigan, United States. Built in 1858, the lighthouse sits along the shore of Lake Michigan and is still active to this day, proudly guiding ships and boats safely past the rugged shoreline. Visitors to the area can take a tour of the lighthouse, learning about its history and enjoying some of the stunning views outside. Stand on the overlook and see the picturesque turquoise waters of Lake Michigan and white sand dunes below. Marvel at the sunsets that are visible from the lighthouse and be sure to grab a few photos while admiring the Great Lakes lighthouse. Visitors can also explore the grounds and check out a few of the old buildings, such as the Coast Guard station, the station’s tower, and the nearby fog signal building.
