📍 Canada
Point Atkinson Lighthouse stands on a rocky headland in Lighthouse Park, where Burrard Inlet opens toward the Strait of Georgia in West Vancouver. A light has guided vessels here since 1875, while the present six-sided reinforced-concrete tower dates from 1912 and is recognized as a National Historic Site. Its white profile, red lantern, exposed granite shoreline, and surrounding old-growth forest create the landmark’s distinctive coastal character. Viewpoints along the park trails frame the tower against open water, with passing ships and distant Vancouver adding scale. The lighthouse compound itself is not open to the public, but the tower can be viewed from nearby rocks and designated lookouts.
