Plazhi i Durrësit is the main urban beach of Durrës, stretching south of the city center along the Adriatic Sea. Its broad sandy shore has long shaped the city’s identity as one of Albania’s principal seaside destinations, with hotels, apartment blocks, cafés, and summer activity forming a dense resort strip behind the water. The west-facing coastline is especially recognizable at sunset, when warm light spreads across the open horizon and reflects on the shallow water and wet sand. In summer, orderly rows of umbrellas emphasize the beach’s scale and lively urban character.
