Plaza Nueva is a historic square located in the city of Bilbao, Spain. Situated at the heart of the casco viejo (old quarter), it is one of the most important landmarks in Bilbao and is surrounded by some of its most iconic buildings, such as the town hall and St. James Church. It was built over two centuries ago as part of the expansion of the city's old quarter, and it is now a vibrant hub of activity day and night. Here, you'll find a colorful array of cafés, tapas bars and restaurants offering traditional Basque cuisine and lots of local atmosphere. The square is full of life, with street performers and musicians often playing in the warm summer evenings. There is also a colourful selection of shops selling arts and crafts, and the regular art fairs are full of surprises. A great place to explore, Plaza Nueva is definitely worth a visit.
