📍 Spain
Plaza de España is located in Seville, Spain and was constructed in 1928 for the Ibero-American Exposition of 1929. It is a beautiful semicircular plaza surrounded by a canal that's lined with stone bridges and lush trees. The striking symmetrical design of the plaza, with its small plaza fountains facing each other across the street, creates a stunningly elegant focus point for visitors. At the middle of the semi-circle, there is a huge tile, terracotta and mosaic structure that is a monument to the Spanish provinces. Around the perimeter of the plaza are benches, parks, and gardens which provide a perfect spot to take a break from exploring the city. It's a popular spot for meetings and festivals as well as tourist photograph opportunities.
