The Plattkofel & Langkofel peaks offer breathtaking views of the Italian Dolomites in South Tyrol. The Plattkofel is the most easily accessible and can be reached by following the adroitly constructed foot and touring path from the Langkofel. The 2409 meter- high peak offers a unique panorama including the high snow-capped South Tyrol mountains, the Schlern and the Fassa Valley. Plattkofel is an ideal starting point for hikes, challenging rafting and kayaking adventures in the Isarco Valley. Besides, there are numerous mountain bike and downhill trails of various difficulty levels. You can even enjoy a ride with the newly constructed Langkofel cable car, starting out at the center in Castelrotto, which will quickly transport you to an even higher mountain peak experience.
