Plage de Trave is a secluded cove on the Agriates coast, within the commune of Santo-Pietro-di-Tenda in northern Corsica. Far from the island’s developed seaside resorts, it belongs to a rugged landscape of pale rock, low maquis and intensely clear Mediterranean water. Its photographic character comes from the contrast between the compact beach, turquoise shallows and an almost entirely natural horizon, with no urban skyline to interrupt the scene. Reaching this remote stretch of coast generally involves traveling on foot along coastal paths, so its sense of isolation is part of both the experience and the image.
