Plage de Cancale is a great beach located at the base of a steep hill in Cancale, France. The beach stretches for about two kilometers from the port to the Pointe du Grouin. It's composed of grey sand, gray stones and granite outcrops. The beach is popular for swimming and sunbathing, and offers stunning views of the nearby Île des landes Lighthouse and Cancale harbour. The beach can get quite crowded during the summer months, so arriving early in the day is recommended. On the cliff above the beach, you can find a scenic path that will take you to the Pointe Braque, with its stunning views of the harbour and the cliffs of Mont Saint-Michel. Plage de Cancale also offers other activities such as windsurfing and sailing. There are also lots of restaurants, bars and cafes near the beach if you are looking for a bit of culture.
