📍 France
Plage d’Yport is the pebble beach of Yport, a former fishing village on Normandy’s Côte d’Albâtre, between Fécamp and Étretat. The village sits in a valley opening onto the English Channel, with white chalk cliffs framing the shore on either side. Fishing boats drawn up on the shingle recall Yport’s maritime heritage, while rows of beach huts reflect its life as a seaside resort. The contrast between pale cliff faces, dark flint pebbles and the sea gives the bay its distinctive visual character. Views along the beach bring these elements together, with the boats providing a sense of scale beneath the cliffs.
