
Place d’Armes is a beautiful square in Old Quebec City, Canada. Located along Rue St. Louis, Place d’Armes is surrounded by some of the city’s most important landmarks such as the impressive Notre-Dame de Québec Basilica-Cathedral, the Governor’s palace, a parade ground, and the former French garrison. It also offers a view of some of the city’s most stunning old buildings and cobblestone streets, and is a great place for people watching. In the centre, a 17th century marble fountain is decorated with a bronze statue of King Louis XIV. Every night, musicians perform in the square, enchanting passersby with traditional French-Canadian music. There are also a few iconic coffee shops overlooking the square, perfect for enjoying a coffee whilst taking in the views.
