The Placa histórica de Alberobello is the compact historic quarter of Alberobello in Apulia where hundreds of trulli—dry-stone, whitewashed houses with distinctive conical roofs—cluster along narrow lanes. The ensemble is visually striking for its repetition of cone silhouettes and pinnacles, the chalky white walls set against grey limestone and often inscribed with painted symbols on the roof faces. For photographers the scene is about texture and rhythm: low façades create layered skylines, tight alleys produce strong diagonals, and southern light tends to throw crisp shadows that emphasize the stone courses and rounded forms. Human scale is evident—small doors, external stairlets and chimneys—so include people to show proportion; respect that this is a lived-in neighborhood rather than a staged attraction.
