Plaça d'Espanya is one of the most iconic squares in Barcelona, Spain. Located at the foot of Montjuïc Hill, it was originally built for the 1929 International Exposition. It is known for its grand palaces, beautiful fountains, and surrounding gardens. It is a popular tourist destination, offering gorgeous panoramic views of the city, as well as many attractions. The Venetian Towers, Magic Fountain of Montjuïc, and Museu Nacional d'Art de Catalunya are all located here. A massive shopping center, called Las Arenas, was added in 2011.
