Pjazza San Publju is a popular plaza in the ancient town of Mdina in Malta. It has over 500 years of history and is one of the most iconic squares of the old city. It was designed in the 16th century and named after St. Paul, the Patron Saint of Malta. The square is surrounded by buildings of various architecture styles including Baroque, Mannerist, Gothic, and Neo-Classical. These structures are a massive point of interest for tourists and photographers; among them, the Palazzo Vilhena is notable for its spectacular façade and the small chapel of the same name. Right in the center of the square, visitors will find an impressive bronze statue of St. Paul, the statue was erected in 1901. The Pjazza San Publju is definitely a must-see if you are visiting Malta.
