Pink Beach
๐Ÿ“ Indonesia
Pink Beach, locally known as Pantai Merah, lies on Komodo Island in West Manggarai Regency, within Komodo National Park. Its distinctive blush comes from reddish coral material mixed with pale sand, creating a stronger pink tone where the shore meets the clear turquoise water. Dry, tawny hills rise behind the bay, giving photographs a characteristic palette of pink, blue, and ochre; a short climb above the beach reveals the curve of the cove and surrounding savanna landscape. Reached by boat, the beach is also a snorkeling stop, with coral habitat close to shore. As this is a protected marine environment, visitors should leave sand and coral in place and avoid standing on or touching living reef.
