The town has a small population but is extremely tourist friendly. It is also known for its excellent selection of restaurants and hotels. Highlights of the village include the 15th-century Palazzo Pictimini which houses the relics of Pope Pius II, the 14th century Church of San Francesco, the Cathedral of Saint Mary of Assumption, and the cobblestone main square.
