Pico do Fogo is the highest peak in the rugged and picturesque Parque Natural do Fogo. Spanning 16km², the park is located on the island of Fogo in Cape Verde. With its classic, moon-like landscape, dramatic gorges and volcanic black sands, it's a paradise for nature lovers, hikers and photographers. It's also home to incredible wildlife, like the critically endangered Barbary Falcon, which can often be seen soaring over the crater lakes. Take a hike up the Pico do Fogo and you'll be rewarded with astonishing panoramic views of the islands, deep blue sea and a sea of clouds that stretch out as far as the eye can see. Awe-inspiring!
