Piccadilly Circus is a famous and lively public square, located at the junction of five major thoroughfares at the centre of London. At the southeast corner stands the iconic Shaftesbury Monument, which was installed in 1892. Located right in the heart of London's West End entertainment district, the Piccadilly Circus subway station is also close to popular destinations such as Regent Street, Leicester Square, Covent Garden and Trafalgar Square. The nearest London Underground station, Piccadilly Circus, is an excellent starting point and perfect spot to plan a sightseeing trip. The station offers connections to most of the other stations on the Piccadilly, Northern, Bakerloo and Victoria lines. It is also the point where major transport lines interconnect, offering convenient access to the famous shopping areas, tourist attractions and entertainment venues of London.
