Piazzale degli Uffizi, located in the heart of Firenze, Italy, is a large square and public park situated in front of the famous Uffizi Gallery. The famous statues of the four Medici dynasty grand dukes – Cosimo I de' Medici, Francesco I de' Medici, Ferdinando I de' Medici, and Cosimo II de' Medici – by the Firenze-born master Pietro Francavilla all stand in the center of the square, surrounded by a majestic grove of stone pine trees and a terrace from which there are beautiful views over the city center. The Piazzale also gives an overview of the city's river and numerous Renaissance-era palaces, as well as a breathtaking view of the nearby Ponte Vecchio bridge. It's a great spot for a stroll and for visitors to take in the remarkable history of the city.
