Piazza della SS. Annunziata is a beautiful historic square located in Venaria Reale, 20km from the city of Turin. It was designed in the late 17th century by the architect Juvarra and preserves the essential characteristics of its time: the long lines of Baroque buildings, the colonnade, the lush vegetation, and a central fountain. The church of San Francesco da Paola, the first Italian example of a Neoclassical building, is located here and is dedicated to the wife of King Vittorio Amedeo of Savoy. The old Collegiate Church of SS. Annunziata was built in the 15th century andnow houses the Museum of Venaria Reale. The square is a popular place for locals and visitors alike and is known for its beautiful walking paths and landscaped gardens. There are a few bars, cafés, and restaurants in the area, and a local market takes place here every Tuesday. Don't forget your camera when you visit this charming piazza.
