Phare De Pontusval
📍 France
Phare de Pontusval is a lighthouse perched on a rocky promontory at the entrance of a cove in the village of Plounéour-Ménez, Bretagne, France. This 19th century tower is 23 m (75 ft) tall and gives its name to the Pontusval reef in the bay of Brest. Its white light flashes 4 times every 15 seconds, warning sailors of the treacherous rocks of the nearby Finistère coast. Visitors can climb the 27 steps of the tower’s spiral staircase to explore the keeper’s room, lantern, and iron balcony with breathtaking views of the cliffs and the sea. Wandering along the coastal path, guests delight in dramatic scenes of sea coves, lighthouses, and rolling dunes.
