๐ From Penmon Point, United Kingdom
Penmon Lighthouse is situated in the Welsh coastal village of Penmon, on the easternmost point of Anglesey Island in Wales, United Kingdom. It is located on a rocky promontory and offers stunning vistas of the sea and is a great birdwatching location. The lighthouse was built in 1832 and renovated in 1872. The nearby buildings were used to house the lighthouse keepers, although they have since been abandoned. Today, the Penmon Lighthouse is still operational and is a Grade II listed building. Visitors are welcome to explore this historical landmark, although access to the buildings is forbidden. From the lighthouse grounds, visitors can enjoy incredible views of Puffin Island and the Great Orme, as well as breathtaking sunsets. There's also the 12th century Penmon Priory nearby, which is worth visiting.
