📍 From The Esplanade, United Kingdom
The Penarth Pier Pavilion is one of the most iconic structures along the Cardiff coastline. Located in the Vale of Glamorgan, it was originally built in 1900, and has since been used as an open air theatre, dance hall, and community centre. In 2019 it underwent a multi-million-pound renovation and reopened as an iconic art deco-style exhibition space and event venue. Offering stunning views of the Bristol Channel and across the town, visitors to the pavilion can explore the beloved Georgian terraces, or visit the recently installed heritage interpretation boards. As well as a great spot for birdwatchers, the pier is also a great place for walking and cycling with access to both Sully Island and Lavernock Point. For a more nostalgic experience, why not take a transfer from Penarth Pier Head to Weston-super-Mare across the Bristol Channel?
