Pegeluhr Hamburg is one of the most iconic landmarks in Hamburg, Germany. Designed by Hamburg sculptor Hermann Kern in 1934, it is a giant water clock located in the city center. At its peak, it is 10 metres tall and has a diameter of 6.7 metres. It is known by locals and tourists alike as the "Tower of the Winds" and for its beautiful views of the Elbe River. It is literally a monument to culture and science, designed to show the pace of life in the city. The clock is illuminated every night and displays the high and low tides of the Elbe River. It is a popular spot for visitors to take in the city's skyline and experience the changing lights of the harbor. Despite the lack of a best time to take a photo, visitors can get great pictures of Pegeluhr during both day and night.
