Located in downtown Seville, the Patio de Banderas square is a vibrant and picturesque pedestrian square full of terracotta houses. Sitting just steps away from the Mercado Lonja del Barranco and the Avenue of the Constitution, the square offers a great atmosphere for strolling or sitting at one of the many terraces to take in the sights and sounds. The Patio de Banderas is known for its wonderful architecture, with many of the terracotta houses being over 100 years old. There is a beautiful 18th-century fountain in the centre of the square, originally constructed to provide drinking water to the citizens of Seville. The Plaza de San Francisco, Convento de Santa Inés, Convento de Santa Paula and Ayuntamiento (Town Hall) of Seville are all just a short stroll away from Piato de Banderas.
