📍 From Boat, Mexico
Paseo Santa Lucía is a landscaped canal and pedestrian promenade connecting Monterrey’s Macroplaza with Fundidora Park, linking the historic center to a former steelworks transformed into a major cultural district. Opened for the 2007 Universal Forum of Cultures, the route follows the name of the Santa Lucía springs associated with the city’s early settlement. Walkways, footbridges, fountains, murals and tour boats animate the water’s edge, while modern towers and Monterrey’s rugged mountain backdrop frame the longer views. Reflections are strongest in the calmer sections, and the promenade’s curves create layered compositions of bridges, terraces and public art.
