Paseo de la Castellana

Paseo de la Castellana is one of Madrid's main streets, connecting the city centre to the financial and residential district of Chamartín. The boulevard stretches 7 kilometers in length, and is also known as the N-1 highway. Along the avenue are important sites such as the Estadio Santiago Bernabéu (Real Madrid's home venue), the Azca financial district, and the Reina Sofía National Art Centre and Nuevos Ministerios transport hub. Paseo de la Castellana is dotted with upmarket shops and restaurants, as well as several hotel complexes. The boulevard also passes through the Retiro and Madrid Rio parks, where one can admire trees, ponds and majestic monuments. The avenue's views of the city’s skyline are beautiful, making it a great place to just take a walk and marvel at Madrid's magnificence.
