Parque Nacional Hornopirén is a remote area in Southwestern Argentine Patagonia, located in the foothills of the Andes Mountains. Spanning over 345 km2 of ancient forests, glacial lakes, rivers, and extreme landscapes,the area is known for its scenic beauty and gorgeous hiking trails. Paragliding and parahiking are also popular activities in the area. There is a wealth of fauna, including condors, guanaco, Andean foxes, many species of birds, and a huge variety of insects. You may also spot some wild horses and huemules, which are unique to the area. You can start your visit at the Parque Nacional Hornopirén ranger station, or book a tour package beforehand.
