Parque La Huasteca is situated in the Mexican state of Santa Catarina in the north-eastern part of the country, 80 km from Monterrey. It is an enchanting natural area with giant limestone formations, amazing waterfalls, underground rivers and beautiful lagoons, which make it heaven for explorers, nature lovers and photographers alike. It's an area of subtropical climate, so the best time of the year to visit it would be between the months of October and May. Inside the park, you can find some breathtaking trails that will show you the lush vegetation, the stunning caves and a variety of wildlife. There are plenty of activities to be enjoyed, from camping and birdwatching to photography and rappelling. You can also swim in the inviting rivers and take a boat trip for an even deeper exploration.
