📍 From Drone, Brazil
Parque Ibirapuera is São Paulo’s landmark urban park, set south of the historic center amid some of the city’s busiest districts. Opened in 1954 for São Paulo’s 400th anniversary, it combines broad lawns, wooded paths and lakes with a celebrated group of curving modernist buildings by Oscar Niemeyer. The white dome of the Oca, the sweeping red canopy of the Ibirapuera Auditorium and the long Marquise create bold contrasts with palms, water and the dense skyline beyond. Photographs from the lakes capture reflections, birdlife and runners or cyclists moving through the scene, while the Marquise offers strong lines, repeating columns and glimpses of everyday paulistano life. The park also contains major cultural venues, including the Museu de Arte Moderna and the Bienal Pavilion, making it both a recreational landscape and a focal point of Brazilian art and architecture.
