Pão de Açúcar and Botafogo Beach are two of the most popular tourist attractions in Botafogo, Brazil. Pão de Açúcar (Sugarloaf Mountain) is a steep peak of almost 400 meters high. It is located in the Guanabara Bay, at the entrance of the port of Rio de Janeiro. A cable car service allows visitors to get to the top of the mountain for a stunning view of the city. Botafogo Beach is a long stretch of sand bordered by the Rio de Janeiro canal to the north and the Botafogo neighborhood to the south. It is a great spot for visitor to do a variety of activities such as swimming, boating, biking, and beach volleyball. There are also areas where visitors can take leisurely strolls as they take in the breathtaking views of the mountains and lagoons.
