The Pamyatnik Prepodobnomu Savve Storozhevskomu (or Monument to Saint Savva Storozhevsky) is located in the small town of Zvenigorod, about 64 km (40 miles) from Moscow. It is a 15 meter (50 feet) tall monument built in tribute to Saint Savva Storozhevsky, the original abbot of the local Saint Savva Monastery of Storozhi. The six-sided monument features a set of ornate columns, capped by an engraved ikon of the saint, under a round dome. The monument sits atop a natural hill, offering an impressive view of Zvenigorod. Visitors to the monument can access it by car and in summer, a funicular railway runs to the top.
