Palette Springs is one of the most stunning natural attractions in Yellowstone National Park in the United States. The spring is a deep cobalt blue and surrounded by volcanic deposits of colorful travertine textures, warm ochre and creamy whites. This landscape creates a stunning array of pastel colors and there are many trails and boardwalks winding through the area which make it easy for you to explore. Visitors to Palette Springs should be aware of the exceptionally high temperature of the spring waters and the dangers of scalding. It is also worth noting that the trails can become icy in winter. Photographers will love exploring the terrain and capturing the distinctive rainbow-colored palette of geothermal sites around the springs, from brilliantly-hued runoffs to hot springs and mudpots.
