Palazzo Sticchi is an ornate early 20th-century villa in Santa Cesarea Terme, a small spa town on the rocky Salento coast of Apulia. The building is notable for its eclectic Liberty (Italian Art Nouveau) vocabulary: rounded towers, sinuous balconies, intricate wrought iron and polychrome ceramic ornament that contrasts with the town’s limestone and black volcanic outcrops. Photographically, the palace reads as texture and silhouette—curved turrets and layered cornices against the sea and compact town streets; close-up shots reveal patterned tiles and ironwork, while wider angles place the ornamented façade within the steep coastal terraces. The exterior is the principal subject for visitors; it is most often photographed from the waterfront promenade and nearby streets where the full elevation and coastal setting are visible.
