Palazzo San Giorgio, located in the old town centre of Genova, is a stunning example of Renaissance architecture. It is a miniature version of the Palazzo Ducale of Genova, with several decorations and an inner courtyard. The building was constructed in 1260 and was the official residence of the Bank of Saint George. Inside, you can find several beautiful rooms and artwork, including naval scenes and other historic paintings. Be sure to visit the gallery, located on the second floor of the Palazzo, where a large collection of maps, paintings, and sculptures can be found. The Palazzo also houses an archaeological museum and an exhibition of ancient weapons.
