Palazzo Merendoni is a stunning Baroque palace located in the beautiful city of Bologna, Italy. It was built between 1709 and 1730 by the architect credited with rebuilding much of the city of Bologna. It served as a home for the noble Merendoni family for over 200 years.

The palace is an architectural marvel which features numerous marble sculptures, statues, frescoes and intricate carvings adorning the walls, as well as a magnificent frescoed staircase in the main hall. Also of note are several well kept gardens which surround the building. Nowadays Palazzo Merendoni is home to the Archeology Museum of Bologna, housing important archaeological findings from many sites of the “Valle del Savena” and the entire region. Additionally, as part of the “Museum System of the City of Bologna”, it regularly welcomes temporary collections and exhibitions. Visiting Palazzo Merendoni is a must if you're in Bologna!
