Palazzo Madama, located in the heart of Torino, Italy, is an impressive structure built in the 12th century. The building was initially a castle, and some of the castle doors are still adorned with their original door knockers. In 1589 the building was rebuilt as a Renaissance palace by Italian architect, Guarino Guarini. Today, it serves as the seat of the Senate of the Italian Parliament.

The grand Renaissance-style Palazzo Madama features ornate hand-crafted ceiling frescoes and beautiful marble facades. Inside the Palazzo is a treasure trove of art, ranging from ancient Greek statues to exquisite frescoes. The inner courtyard of the building was designed to resemble a tropical paradise, and is filled with mosaics, statues and freshwater fountains. There are also several unique terraces with lavish sculptures set against the backdrop of the Italian Alps. A visit to Palazzo Madama is an experience to remember. Not only is the building a testament to Italy's cultural heritage, it is also a great place to learn about the history and politics of Italy. Explore this grand palace and be sure to take in the stunning frescoes and lavish decorations.
