The Palazzo Gio Vincenzo Imperiale is an elegant example of Baroque architecture in Genova, Italy and is located in the old quarter of the city. The palace is remarkable for its harmonious design and voluminous ornamentation both inside and out. Built in 1660s by the architect Bartolomeo Bianco, it was initially intended as a residence for Gio Vincenzo Imperiale and his family. The palace is most renowned for its huge marble staircase and detailed frescoes, especially in the Red Hall. Despite being damaged during seismic events, the palace still offers an impressive view of the city. Inside, the palace is home to the Museum of Natural History, the Archaeological Museum and the Natural Sciences Museum. Currently, it is open to the public, so visitors can enjoy its grandeur and catch a glimpse of Genova’s Royal History.
