Palazzo del Comune is an iconic Medieval fortress quarter in the small town of Castelvetro di Modena in whose center it stands. The building complex includes two imposing four-sided towers, the characteristic main façade facing the town square, an arcade on the ground floor, and the bell tower. This complex is listed as a site of special cultural significance in the Emilia-Romagna Region. The main gate of the palace leads to the internal courtyard with a magnificent loggia on the first floor that has survived even from the mid-13th century. The courtyard is decorated with sculptures of the four cardinal virtues, allegorical inscriptions from the 15th century, and a clock with a bas-relief of the Madonna dating back to the 17th century. Take a stroll around the Complex to linger among charming remains of the past and enjoy an evocative charm that gives the perfect atmosphere for casts of photos.
