The Palazzo d'Accursio, located in the historical centre of Bologna, Italy, is a grandiose late-Renaissance building that was designed in 1574 for the Accursio family. Today, it houses the Bologna City Hall. The palace is just a few steps from Piazza Maggiore and from the imposing Basilica of San Petronio. On the outside, the two-story palace features an entrance with a sharo marble portal, as well as four arcades that run along the entire length of the façade. On the left side, you’ll notice the protruding loggia that overlooks Via degli Orefici. The interior of the palace boasts numerous frescoes and marble decorations, as well as a large chapel dedicated to Saints Vitale and Agricola. Visitors of Palazzo d’Accursio can enjoy the beautiful views and wander through centuries of history!
