The Palais des Beaux-Arts de Lille is the largest museum in France for modern and contemporary art and one of the most visited in Europe. The museum is located in the historical center of Lille, in the former palace of Fine Arts. Inside this 19th century palace, visitors will find much of the finest French contemporary art, as well as a wide selection of works from other countries. The museum includes various collections and exhibitions, featuring paintings, sculptures, photographs, installations, objects, video works and texts on modern and contemporary art. The Palais des Beaux-Arts also houses a multimedia library which offers readings, lectures and colloquiums open to the public.
