Palafrugell is a sea-side town situated in Costa Brava, in the northern coast of Spain. The main attraction of the town is La Platgeta de Calella, an extensive 2.6 km long sandy beach with clear waters and a peaceful atmosphere. Apart from the beach, Palafrugell offers a vast array of leisure and recreational possibilities, such as kayaking excursions, golf courses, hiking paths, or scuba diving centers. The town has numerous bars, restaurants and cafes that serve traditional Catalan cuisine. The nearby Gemma theatre, an auditorium located on the edge of the sea, is a popular spot for live events and performances. Palafrugell is connected to the main cities of the Girona province by bus.
