The Palacio Presidencial, located in the old town of Bratislava, is the modern seat of the Slovakian president. Constructed between 1811 and 1813, the palace is a historically significant landmark situated on the northern border of Hlavne Namestie, a historic square in the city center. Seemingly, it is not a big building, yet its architecture, design and embellishments are something to behold. A two-storey structure of two wings is surrounded by a historical garden, with pillars that highlight the power of the presidential office. The garden is decorated with exquisite sculptures and fountains, creating a tranquil atmosphere in the center of this bustling city. To visit the garden you need to get a special permit, but a walk around the building is definitely worth it.
