The Palacio Municipal de La Plata, in DPO, Argentina is a stunning example of Argentinean architecture. The building was designed by famous architect Francisco Parola in 1882 and constructed in 1888. It stands as a testimony of the country’s Mudejar-style. The building is split into two stories and features various political figures around its exterior. Inside, it houses the City Council and Court of Justice. The detailed walls, elaborate arches, and mural paintings in the City Hall are worth admiring. Make sure to check out the Hall of Mayors, which includes busts of all the governors and mayors of the city since its foundation. The City Hall is open to visitors and offers guided tours on weekends. Don’t forget to appreciate the amazing view of La Plata’s main square and cathedral from the roof garden.
