The Palace of Fine Arts Theatre, located in the Marina District of San Francisco, California, is a picturesque landmark. The neoclassical building was constructed in 1915 for the Panama-Pacific Exhibition, and is now part of the compound at the California Palace of the Legion of Honor. The rotunda of the palace features a painted ceiling (approximately 47 feet high in the center of the dome) depicting the nine muses of Greek mythology. This magnificent ceiling is a popular photographic attraction. The theatre also hosts concerts, theatre performances, lectures, and other events. There are several locations throughout the palace which offer an ideal photographic backdrop; perfect for capturing magical and romantic moments.
