The Palace of Culture and Science in Warszawa is one of the most iconic buildings in Poland. Built between 1952 and 1955, it is a grandiose modernist building that stands tall at 237 metres and has an observation deck on the 30th floor. The palace has several large halls, including the auditorium (with 3369 seats) and several cinema halls. It also has several exhibition spaces, theatres and a shopping and entertainment centre. The observation deck offers a spectacular view of the city, and on colder days, you can enjoy a hot beverage in the cafeteria. The palace is also a symbol of the friendship between the Soviet Union and Poland, as it was a “gift” from Stalin himself.
