Pałac Mielżyńskich is a Neoclassical town palace on Poznań’s Stary Rynek, the Old Market Square at the heart of the historic city. Built in the late 18th century for the Mielżyński family, it brings the architectural language of an aristocratic residence into a square shaped by trade. Its symmetrical façade and triangular pediment distinguish it from the narrower merchant houses nearby. Seen together with its neighbors, the palace’s broad frontage and restrained classical detailing reveal the contrast between noble residences and commercial townhouses within the same urban setting.
