📍 Canada
Oxtongue Rapids is a rocky stretch of whitewater on the Oxtongue River near Dwight, in Ontario’s Lake of Bays township, west of Algonquin Provincial Park. The river connects Oxtongue Lake with Lake of Bays, passing through woodland and exposed Canadian Shield rock. Here, water tumbles over ledges and divides around boulders, creating bright ribbons of foam against dark channels and textured stone. The recognizable scene is a succession of broken currents framed by forested banks, rather than a single waterfall.
